Valuing a Liberal Arts Degree

With cutbacks to research funding, a lousy job market, and her own “lost decade” to contemplate, writer Kim Brooks considers whether it is time to eliminate the Liberal Arts degree.

Happily, she concludes otherwise:

“Right now, [arts students are] in those four extraordinary, exceptional years where ideas matter; and there’s not a thing I’d do to change that.”
